I received my first camera at age ten and fell in love with photography while developing my first black & white prints in the darkroom that I set-up beneath the basement stairs. For the past thirty years, I have been involved in wedding, portrait, commercial and fine-art photography. With my camera, I “paint with light”, those subjects that stop me in my tracks and urge me to take notice. I utilize the elements of light, texture and design (the ‘brushes’ of Photography) to create and record images that speak to me. The traditional darkroom has now given way to the Lightroom software of today in which the final personalization and enhancements are then made.
Believing that we all have been given the gift of a unique creative vision, it is my intent to honor God through my images, to touch and inspire my viewers with my special way of seeing, and to encourage others to join me in a continuing delight with light.
“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.” ~ Ansel Adams
